MICHIGAN AVE STREETSCAPE

The Michigan Avenue Streetscape project focused on enhancing one of Chicago’s most prominent corridors through infrastructure modernization, pedestrian improvements, and upgraded public amenities. Completed in coordination with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), the project was designed to improve accessibility, traffic flow, and the overall pedestrian experience while supporting the corridor’s commercial and civic significance. Project improvements included sidewalk reconstruction, curb and gutter replacement, ADA accessibility upgrades, decorative pavement elements, roadway resurfacing, upgraded lighting, landscaping, and enhanced streetscape furnishings. The project also incorporated traffic and pedestrian safety enhancements intended to improve mobility, strengthen the public realm, and create a more inviting and cohesive streetscape environment along Michigan Avenue.
