WENTWORTH AVE STREETSCAPE, SECTIONS 2

The Wentworth Avenue Streetscape project was developed to enhance mobility, pedestrian safety, and neighborhood identity along a key corridor in Chicago’s Chinatown community. Completed in coordination with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), the multi-phase project focused on transforming Wentworth Avenue into a more accessible, pedestrian-oriented streetscape while supporting local businesses and community growth. Improvements included roadway reconstruction, widened sidewalks, ADA accessibility upgrades, decorative lighting, landscaping, streetscape furnishings, enhanced crosswalks, and traffic flow improvements. The project also incorporated community-inspired design elements and public space enhancements that reinforced the cultural character of the corridor and created a safer, more welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
